Bonds Medium Shelving

A ceramic sculpture resembling a human face, placed on a wooden shelf against a plain wall.

The Bonds Collection explores how furniture can reveal and shape human bonds. Each piece highlights that objects are never neutral: shelves become complete only when filled with personal belongings, while the mirror acts as a shifting portrait reflecting identity in dialogue with its viewer. Rejecting the tradition of hidden joints in Western design, the pieces instead celebrate them. Ceramic elements and sculptural wooden wedges transform structural details into expressive gestures—metaphors for human relationships: essential, imperfect, and worth celebrating—inviting a more conscious, emotional engagement with the material world.
